I’m a Media Design student specializing in 2D/3D art for games, and currently studying in my fourth semester at Fachhochschule Hannover, Germany. During my course of studies I have experimented in many different fields of work including, but not limited to: illustrations, 2D animation, scripting, UI creation, level design, rigging and 3D animation. At the start of my fourth semester, I tried 3D sculpting for the first time and immediately fall in love with zBrush. Since than, I have done everything in my power to further expand and improve my 3D workflows in order to become a faster more varied artist. My drawing hobby has proven to be of great aid in this matter, since I can not only create my own concepts and turntables, but found that a lot of 2D knowledge easily translates into 3D creations and vice versa. I’m looking forward to constantly leveling up those two skills of mine, one project at a time.
Before I was in media design, I studied and finished my Bachelor of Science in Psychology at Friedrich-Schiller University, Jena, Germany. While I loved and absorbed the knowledge, I could not picture myself working as a psychologist, because even though I enjoyed my studies, I would spend a large amount of time drawing and sewing costumes for characters or indulging in other creative activities. I was sure that my passion lies in the creation of things, so I changed my study path. Today, I work in small teams of two to three people, hence I use my extensive understanding of psychology as a team coordinator and game designer, providing most of the scope, story, design and pipeline for out university projects. It also greatly influences my 3D designs, as I always try to give each detail I implement a purpose that fits and underlines the games narration and play style.
In my free time, I enjoy going through my steam library, reading books and comics, creating small comic projects of my own, playing with my cat Whisky and reminding myself to take a break once in a while.
